Now that you have read the other posts in this series, you probably have gleaned that:

  • Your lifestyle can be directly connected to the likelihood of getting an insect or pest infestation. Not leaving food out, vacuuming and sweeping your house frequently are good practices.

However, no matter how careful and proactive you are, sometimes an infestation might be due to circumstances beyond your control.

  • It’s what you do once you suspect an infestation that really matters.
  • Remember not acting quickly can lead to big bills and even illness. Don’t get caught off guard!

Here are some scenarios where quick action is key to avoiding a full-blown infestation.

  • Bedbugs are a common pest and have become very resistant to certain pesticides. These can spread quickly, and their eggs can lie dormant for a long time. Quick action is highly prudent.
  • Cockroaches can spread pathogens (disease-causing germs) quickly through the house and reproduce quickly. Immediate action is necessary
  • Rats and mice also reproduce quickly and can chew through wires and damage electric wiring in your house. Get help quickly.
  • Ants leave chemical trails that can be followed by millions of other ants. Stop them before they get out of hand.
  • Termites can weaken the infrastructure of your house which can lead to major damage and more big bills. Get help right away!
